Things Required

• Spoons as per the no. of players
• 1-2Deck of cards

How To Play

• Keep spoons one less than the numbers of players in the middle of the table for eg. keep 7 spoons if 8 players are playing the game.
• All the players have to sit around the spoons.
• If the players are more than 4 then take 2 deck of cards.
• Shuffle the deck of cards and give each player four cards and place the rest of the deck of cards on the table in front of one player.
• That player will draw one card and if it is not required will pass it on to his left player around the circle.
• Each player will look at the passed card in order to make the set of four.
• The first person to make a set of our for eg. 4 ace, 4 kings or a sequence etc. has to pick up a spoon.
• All others will also grab a spoon.
• There will be one less spoon than the players so the one who is slow in picking up the spoon is eliminated from the game.
• Now remove one spoon and start playing again until two players and one spoon is left.
• The first person to get set of four cards and grabs the spoon wins.

Things Required

• A list of events held during the last calendar year

How To Play

• Make a list of events held during the last calendar year.
• These events can be from any field i.e political, sports, entertainment, science and technology, business etc.
• The players have to guess in which month these events took place for eg.
  1. In which month Delhi State Elections held?
  2. In which month a massive earthquake hit Nepal and parts of North India?
  3. In which month International Yoga Day was celebrated?
  4. In which month US President Barrack Obama visited India?
  5. In which month Saina Nahewal created history to become the first Indian woman badminton player by attaining the world number one ranking?
  6. In which month Indi’a 11th President AJP Abdul Kalam died? etc.

Winner

The one who gives the maximum correct answers wins!!

We can also play this  game either way i.e write 10-15 events on a paper. The players have to number them in order i.e. one being the earliest and the last being the latest.

Things Required

• One set of slips with movie names released in this calendar year for eg. Dilwale, Drishyam etc.
• One set of slips with lyrics of songs of these movies for eg. (Dilwale-Duniya bhula ke tumse mila hoon Nikli hai dil se ye duaa,Rang de tu mohe Gerua), (Drishyam -Ghutta hai dum dum…. ghutta hai Dukhta hai dil dukhta hai) etc.

How To Play

• Keep all the slips in one bowl.
• Let everyone take one slip.
• As the time starts, everyone will open their slip and will find their partner.
• For eg.  if the player is having the slip with movie name that player has to find who is holding the slip of song of that particular movie and vise versa.

Winner

• The first three pairs who find each other are the winners.

Things Required

• 1/2 or 3/4 filled glasses of Champagne for each group

How To Play

• Divide the players into group of 4,6 or 8.
• Mark a starting line and finishing line.
• Half of the group will stand at the starting point and half group at the finishing line.
• Give one half filled or 3/4  glass of champagne to each group.
• The game is that the player has to  balance the glass on their palm without closing their fingers.
• One player will start from the starting point and will hand over the glass to the next player standing at the finishing line and so on.

Winner

• The  group who completes the task  in minimum time and with maximum champagne wins.

Things Required

• Lots of balloons
• Four slips with words written Goodbye 2015 Welcome 2016
• Blank slips according to the no. of balloons

How To Play

• Take balloons as many as guests in the party.
• Make 4 slips with words Goodbye 2015 Welcome 2016.
• Put these four slips in the balloons while blowing them and put blank slips in other balloons.
• Scatter them in the hall 5 minutes to 12 o’clock.
• Tell everyone to grab one balloon.
• As the clock strikes 12 everyone has to pop their balloons and take out the slips.
• The guests who are having those four slips are the winners.

1. Count Down Begins

Hide several alarm clocks in the party hall and set them all to ring at the same time i.e. 1 minutes before 12 o’clock.  Once they start ringing, everyone has to start finding them. The one who finds the maximum alarm clocks as the clock strikes 12 o’clock wins.

2.Pass The Musical Balloon

Make two sets of slips with names of the players.  Put one set of names in the bowl. Put one slip each in the balloon while blowing.   Let everyone sit in a circle.  As the music starts, everyone will start passing the balloons.  As the music stops, take one slip from the bowl and announce the name. Now that person will pop the balloon and will take out the slip.  The person whose name is written on the slip in OUT not the person who has popped the balloon. The person who remains till the last is the winner.

3.Word game

Players have to make words from “Happy New Year” as many as they can in one minute. Whoever creates the most words, wins!

4.Events Puzzle

Take print out of different events held during year from Internet. Cut them into 7-8 pieces and put them in a paper bag.  Divide the players into groups of 4-5.  Give one paper bag to each group and tell them to put all the pieces together to complete the picture within the specified time.

 5.Backwards calendar Months

One minute new year party game in which players have to say the names of the months backwards ie. from December to January. The one who says the maximum no. of times wins.

 6.Last Man Standing

52 players can play this game. Take two pack of cards. Distribute one card to each player. Shuffle the  cards and start opening the cards one by one. Announce the card no., the player who is holding that card is out. The player with the last card will win the game.

In a bowl mix tricolor bangles i.e orange, white and green.  Give lot of safety pins to the players.  The players have to make a chain in tricolor ie. put orange bangle-safety pin-white bangle-safety pin-green bangle-safety pin-orange bangle and so on. Time limit is one minute.

8.Complete The Names

Take 50-60  ice cream sticks. Write the 20  names of national leaders, freedom fighter etc.  for  eg. Mahatma on one stick and Gandhi on another stick, Subash on one stick, Chandra on the other stick and Bose on the third one. Give first named sticks to the players and mix rest of  the sticks in a bowl.  The players have to complete the names by finding the sticks from the bowl.  The player who complete maximum names in one minute is the winner.

9.Flag Making Competition

Keep flag making competition. Give white drawing sheets, green, white and orange color glaze papers or drawing colors, glue, scissors and drinking straws for flag poles. Divide the players into groups. Every group has to make flags as many as they can and display them in plastic cups.

Things Required

• Tambola board as explained below
• Tokens for playing

How To Play

• Take a cardboard 15’x15′ size  and paste white sheet on it.
• Draw 90 blocks just like tambola board.
• Write the name of the small gifts like a bar of chocolate, smiley ball, a pen, pencil and rubber, a key ring etc. or some prize money in 25 or 30 blocks or per the wish of the host.
• Leave around 40 blocks blank or can write better luck next time, tai tai phiss, oops bad luck etc.
• Put counting stickers on them from 1 to 90 so that the board should look like a tambola board.
• Let all the players sit in a circle and can start the game.
• Give that board to one of the players.
• The caller will start calling the numbers.
• The game is that player holding the board will either remove the sticker or scratch it from the called number and can either claim the prize written on it or tai tai phiss
• Resume the game till all the 90 nos. are called out.
• Some can be lucky ones who gets more than one prize.

How To Play

• Before starting the game ask all the ladies to go to another room and leave their slippers or shoes over there.
• Everyone will sit in a circle and give one stuffed toy to any one player.
• As the music starts, start passing the toy.
• As the music stops, the player who is holding the toy will go to another room where all the slippers are lying  and will wear any one pair of slipper except her’s and will come back.
• The player whose slipper that player is wearing  is out of the game.
• Resume the game again till two players are left and they will be declared as winners.

• The host will  start calling the sayings one by one.
• Give paper and pen to all the Moms and tell them to write which they think they use in their daily life.
• After calling all the sayings and every one has written accordingly
• Now comes the twist of the game i.e. how to award the points.
• The host will  call all the sayings once again and every one will write the score which will be as below:
• • 3 points for every saying that 3 Moms had in common.
  • 4 points for every saying that 4 Moms had in common.
  • 5 points for every saying  that 5 or more Moms had in common.
• Adjust the points value as per the no. of players.
